Matt Eddleman brings more than two decades of professional experience in tax controversy, accounting, financial planning, and small business management and consulting to the Strategic Tax Planning team, and is one of the nation's leading experts on the Employee Retention Credit and other COVID relief programs. His experience working with individuals and business owners to improve their financial positions gives him a unique understanding of the financial issues faced by every U.S. taxpayer in the aftermath of the global pandemic. He excels in planning opportunities the Internal Revenue Code offers taxpayers to ready themselves for the challenges brought about by the rapidly changing financial landscape.


A native of the nation's capital, Matt is a graduate of Shepherd University, where he studied Business Administration and Financial Economics and completed the University's CFP Board-approved program in personal financial planning. An IRS Enrolled Agent, Matt represents U.S. taxpayers around the world, helping them to minimize their tax burdens and navigate the IRS's complex regulatory and compliance requirements. Matt resides with his wife on the banks of the Chesapeake Bay's western shore, a mere stone's throw away from his favorite rockfish and perch fishing holes.
