Scott is a frequent speaker and tax consultant on the Research Credit (41 & 174), Employee Retention Credit (ERC), Commercial Energy Efficient Buildings (179D), Residential Energy Efficiency Buildings (45L) and Cost-Segregation/Fixed Asset Studies. In a previous life, Scott was a tax controversy attorney specializing in tax incentives under audit with the IRS, California FTB, and other state taxing authorities. Scott has mediated hundreds of tax cases with the IRS and also advises on IRS practice & procedure.

When not representing clients, Scott has two daughters and two sons. He is a Boy Scout dad with one Eagle Scout and the little guy is not too far behind. Scott sits on several non-profit boards including (most recently) as Vice President of the Golden Empire Council BSA and a Committeeman with the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo.
